May 2020 Virtual Roundtable Forum
It is a difficult time to be fundraising. Governments and donors are redirecting resources to support the health system and emergency services, and the economy is suffering. But communicating clearly and effectively with your donors now and into the future is critical, and being able to tell your story is a key component of fundraising.
The heart of telling your story is finding a Case for Support Statement that aligns with donors’ aspirations and motivates them to donate. Using Design Thinking and other empathy-based methodologies, this workshop with Melody Song of Do Good Here is a co-creation process that will provide you with an overview and hands-on exercise to discover donors through Donor Empathy Mapping and prototype a Case Statement that you can use in a consistent donor communication with the framework of the Value Proposition Canvas.
